File note. Folder order is unreliable. Several items survive only as later copies. Captions describe the copy on hand, not a fixed date.
FragmentCatalogue note
1977 folklore programme featuring the BearLF/01 Folklore programme. Purple cover, much handled. The Bear has been added to the billing in a smaller typeface and a larger mood.
Starnite Spectacular programme featuring the BearLF/02 Marine Pavilion programme. The Bear has entered the cover design between title and chorus girl. A pencilled note inside reads “do not let him turn this into a comeback.”
Still of the Rotunda roundabout from transferred videoLF/03 Transferred ride footage. Roundabout sequence from a later screen recording. The Bear is not visible. He nevertheless claimed repeat fees on the grounds that one animal “resembled an associate.”
1997 video still from the Runaway CoasterLF/04 Runaway Coaster tape, 1997. Date is visible in the source footage. Sound track contains machinery, wind and no authorised singing.
The Bear in a Marine Pavilion company photographLF/05 Cabaret rehearsal print. The barrel costume, fixed head and white straps correspond to the deposited Bear reference. A typed reverse says “one chorus only.”
Roller Cola can featuring the BearLF/07 Roller Cola can. Bear-fronted can image following the Silver Spring red, white and blue design. Three cases were apparently supplied. Two were returned warm.
Rio's Bear ice-lolly wrapperLF/07A Rio’s Bear wrapper. Red wrapper, white lolly shape and the disputed use of the Bear’s face. The kiosk stock sheet writes “delicious” twice and “approved” nowhere.
Panda Diet Shandy canLF/07B Panda Shandy reference. Rival bear-branded soft drink shown beside the kiosk file. This is the item the Bear took personally, commercially and incorrectly.
Club Shepway Regional Book of BeastsLF/08 Club Shepway beast file. Later arts-company material through which the Bear was brought back into circulation. The accompanying risk assessment is absent.
