PROGRAMME SHEET
Farl is an Irish pub at 20 Cheriton Place. The Dover-Kent list records the Farl name from 23 December 2024, succeeding the Firkin Alehouse at the address.
Record note: Dover-Kent Folkestone list; event programme held in the Bear file.
The advertised Bear Baiting Folklore Karaoke did not take place. The Bears failed to arrive following a semaphorecation error involving two meeting points, one green flag and an instruction believed to mean “wait by the other pub.”
The song list survived intact. No audience member was required to battle an unattended microphone. A rescheduled date is to be announced.
No barring order issued because no Bear crossed the threshold. The Bear nevertheless describes the cancellation as a sell-out in which he was “artistically elsewhere.”
The camera contains an empty doorway and one person asking whether Widdicombe Fair has two d’s. The Bears do not appear.
