Plain information about this public archive
The public archive pages do not set cookies. As a result, this site does not display a cookie-consent banner.
Links to other websites open only when selected. Those websites may use their own cookies and privacy arrangements.
The optional Hooden Horse Trials game stores a small amount of information in your browser's local storage: sound preference, volume, high score and game progress. This information remains on your device and is not sent to the archive.
You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Doing so resets the game's saved settings and progress.
The main archive has no accounts, newsletter or visitor analytics. The optional Bear Activity Exchange can accept a short voice report only after the participant actively agrees, records, listens back and chooses to send it.
Voice-report handling, recent-playback retention, contributor permission and removal requests are explained in the exchange's privacy information and contribution conditions.
Your hosting provider may process standard server access information to run the website. Check the provider's own privacy information and account settings before publishing, particularly if analytics or visitor logs are enabled.
If you add a contact form, newsletter, analytics, advertising, embedded third-party media or any other visitor tracking, this notice and the consent arrangements will need updating. A public publisher name and contact address should also be supplied for a fuller privacy notice.
